From 1981 until we bought the business, Chuck Jeffries, Jay Myers, and their team had consistently completed over 1,500 jobs of all sizes annually in the DMV ranging from a few lines to be striped to repaving massive shopping center parking lots. After 40 years of dedicated service, Chuck and Jay sold American Striping to myself and John Zaniker in 2021. John and I have been partners in various businesses since 2001 and brought the same leadership and philosophy to American Striping that made us successful in the past—hard work, integrity, and relationship value.

 

In late 2021 American Striping was renamed and rebranded to become American Paving and Striping as over 60% of our business had now become asphalt and concrete. In June of 2021, John and I purchased Allstate Striping & Sealing which had just celebrated its 41st year in business.

The transitions have been incredibly smooth and AP&S tripled in size from 2021-2025. We moved into our new 27,000sf facility, sitting on 2.7 acres in September of 2024 and we have been off to the races ever since.  We continue that growth trajectory today as we focus on details, limit change orders, stay away from nickel and diming, and bring a very unique feel to the paving industry—-we value partnerships and long-term relationships.
